She: A Goddess is a celebration of the beauty, strength, and individuality of real women—beyond the confines of societal expectations. Through this ongoing project, Dar redefines the narrative of body image by capturing her muses, not as models, but as their authentic, empowered selves. Combining styling, set design, and photography, Dar creates a space where these women can reclaim their bodies as their own, breaking free from the gaze of judgment and conventional beauty standards.
In a society shaped by colonial and religious ideals, where women have historically been confined to roles of restraint and modesty, this project stands as a quiet revolution. Stretch marks, scars, curves, tattoos, and skin tones—all the details often scrutinized—become symbols of resilience and stories of self-acceptance. Each image is a testament to the transformative power of self-love and the courage it takes to embrace one’s body fully, flaws and all.
The series is enriched by the voices of the muses themselves—women who share their struggles, triumphs, and ongoing journeys toward self-acceptance. Their words, filled with vulnerability and strength, echo through the images, reminding us that beauty is not defined by external validation but by the confidence and ownership one feels within.
She: A Goddess is as much about the artist’s journey as it is about the muses. For Dar, who has wrestled with self-esteem and body image issues, this project is deeply personal—a transformative act of creating alongside and drawing inspiration from these women. It is a declaration: that all bodies are beautiful, that confidence is an act of defiance, and that every woman, in her own unique way, is a goddess.
