un/familiar

April 2025 - ongoing

here and there

An ongoing new series that explores what it means to live in the in-between—when the world around you feels almost familiar, but not quite. These are quiet studies of dislocation: places that look normal to others but never quite settle inside me. Sometimes I recognize something—but it doesn’t recognize me back.

For some, this place is home. But to me, it still feels strange—like I’ve wandered into someone else’s memory. In some moments, I feel like a ghost; in others, like an alien, floating through a place that wasn’t made with me in mind.

Un/Familiar gathers fragments of places that feel too distant to be home, too known to be foreign. It’s about what lingers when you’re caught between worlds—and the quiet, uneasy beauty of not quite belonging.
